Dear Pastor, Missions Committee
Leader, Supporter of God's Mission
SUBJECT: RECOMMENDATION OF
TODD AND AMY CHURCHILL, NEW MISSIONARY CANDIDATES TO AFRICA.
I write today to introduce and
recommend to you TODD and AMY CHURCHILL and son Daniel, newly approved
for missionary appointment by the Assemblies of God World Mission agency.
I do so with delight. The word "new" is hardly appropriate
for the Churchills. They have done ministry in several countries, but
most recently, they spent two years leading a pastors' training school
in Kinshasa, the burgeoning capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo
(formerly Zaire).
Todd and Amy, and their son
Daniel, have lived among the Congolese people, built positive relationships,
learned Congo's official language, French, have preached and taught
in the local churches, and have had blessed, effective ministry. They
have proved their calling to Africa as well as the quality and consistency
of their ministry "on the ground." Our veteran missionary
colleagues in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Wayne and Sylvia Turner,
have worked with them in Kinshasa and attest in the highest terms to
the quality of their character and ministry.
In early November, the Assemblies
of God World Mission Board readily approved their appointment. Wonderful!
I am pleased and honored to recommend them for ministry to you, to your
Missions Committee, and to your congregation. You will want your people
to be exposed to the Churchills and their heart for God and HIS mission!
I recommend them to you for
support as well. We need them back in Congo! In fact, with their experience,
language, and gifts they are sorely needed ASAP; so, join us in hastening
their return to Africa by commitments of monthly support.
Thank you in advance for taking
these wonderful new missionaries into your hearts!
FOR AN INCREASINGLY REDEEMED
AFRICA,

Don Corbin / Africa Regional Director

Re: Todd and Amy Churchill, Newly appointed
A/G Missionaries to Africa
Dear Pastor,
We first met Todd and Amy Churchill
in 2000 when they were on a short-term missions assignment to Kinshasa,
Congo where we have been Assemblies of God missionaries for the past
29 years. They are a couple who love the Lord and feel His call into
Missions in Africa. Their time in the Congo confirmed this call.
Because of the assassination
of the Congo president the situation in Kinshasa became unstable so
Todd, Amy and their son Daniel, along with two of their colleagues came
to 1ive with us, as it turned out, for seven weeks. We already thought
highly of Todd and Amy and Daniel, but seven weeks of living together
forever changed that. They are now like family to us.
As we observed Todd and Amy
over a year and a half time period, we have seen a couple who love the
Lord and who genuinely love people of all nationalities and all ages.
We have been enriched by their friendship.
Central Africa is in urgent
need of couples like them. They have already had a number of years experience
overseas and are thus better prepared than most.
We highly recommend them to
be your partners in the Lord's work in Central Africa.
